Return of Steak Nights

The Owl has revived its famous Steak Nights. Enjoy the finest cuts, including rib-eye, 10oz rump, and 16oz T-bone.

Fish Fridays

From 5pm to 10pm indulge in a complimentary glass of wine to match any fish or seafood dish from the menu.
[Only available Fridays in September, from 5pm until 9pm. One 125ml glass of wine per starter, one 125ml glass of wine per main course. Starts Friday 7th July. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.]

A Beautiful Venue

The Owl has two dining areas:

• one an airy but cosy conservatory zone;
• the other a spacious “long room”, suited to—and bookable for—party, corporate and other group events (including a large family table).

There is off-road parking for 70 cars, children are welcome, and the heated garden is open all year round and open to (well-behaved) dogs. Please note dogs are only allowed in the garden area.

Fine Food, Ale and Wines

Our menu is a careful selection of contemporary and traditional European fayre, cooked and served with care. We cater for all allergies – please inform us upon booking if there is anything specific you require.

We have five real ales, three permanent ales—The Hoard, from Backyard Brewhouse in Walsall, Tawny Owl from Cotleigh Brewery in Somerset, and Greene King’s Abbot Ale. We also have two guest ales which change regularly.

As if that weren’t enough, we offer a 20p-per-pint discount on these beers to CAMRA members and are Cask Marque accredited

We also have a frequently-updated selection of excellent wines. Our lagers include Peroni, Estrella, Pravha and Carling. And we also serve Guinness Extra Cold and Thatcher’s Cider, alongside a range of bottled lagers, ciders and craft beers, and for the discerning gin drinkers out there we have a selection of over twenty gins!

How to find us

We are on the Old London Road, the A5206, on the right-hand side as you approach from Lichfield centre, or the left if you are approaching from the south.

If you are driving from Birmingham, take exit T4 from the M6 toll going north.

Coming from Tamworth, follow the A5 to Lichfield and take the 5th exit onto the A38 ramp to Burton/Lichfield. Keep right and merge onto London Rd/A38 and, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto London Rd/A5206.
